PEL Waste Reduction Equipment Showcasing the SolarStreetBinTM at IFAT2018

PEL Waste Reduction Equipment will showcase the SolarStreetBin^TM in Hall 5, Stand 435 at IFAT2018 taking place in Munich, Germany from 14th-18^th May 2018. The SolarStreetBin is the latest innovation from PEL Waste Reduction Equipment and will dramatically cut litter collection costs for Councils, Local Authorities, Property Management companies or other organisations deploying it as part of their litter collection service.

The SolarStreetBin^TM from PEL Waste Reduction Equipment accommodates either a 120 Litre or 240 Litre wheelie bin with a litter bag option also available if required. The built-in compaction capability will reduce litter waste volumes by up to 90% thus saving on collection journeys and the associated costs. Bin-fill level monitoring and the ability to communicate this information to a data management module facilitates real-time monitoring of litter bin fill levels. The SolarStreetBin^TM allows waste managers to focus collection resources only on the litter bins that require servicing. The product eliminates unsightly and unhygienic overflowing bins and the associated costs of emergency clean-ups of those bins.

The SolarStreetBin^TM utilises solar energy to drive the on-board compaction and communications capabilities. Users operate the solar powered litter bin by means of a foot pedal which eliminates hand hygiene concerns. The SolarStreetBin^TM is serviced by existing litter collection trucks and using a 120 litre or 240 Litre wheelie bin to collect litter removes manual handling concerns of the operatives. The location of the door and the size of the waste flap can be customised upon request, the SolarStreetBin^TM is manufactured to meet the requirements of the ISO9001 Quality Standard and is CE Certified. PEL Waste Reduction Equipment has installed the SolarStreetBin^TM in a number of locations across Ireland, the UK and Europe with additional trials ongoing in a number of additional locations.

The PEL Waste Reduction Equipment stand is located in Hall 5, Booth 435 where the standard PEL120SSB, a stainless steel version of the PEL120SSB and the PEL240SSB will be on show along with the PEL1500 High Density Baler, the ‘Jaws’ Bottle Crusher range and the PEL1100 Bin Compactor.
