PEL Waste Reduction Equipment at Catex 2019

Catex 2019 is Ireland’s largest food service and hospitality show and takes place on Tuesday 26^th – Thursday 28^th February 2019 at the RDS in Dublin this year. More than 12,000 visitors are expected to attend over the two days of the show where over 250 exhibitors will be showcasing their products to the hospitality industry.

PEL Waste Reduction Equipment will be on stand C36 in the main hall of the RDS where we will be demonstrating a selection of our bin compactor, baler, bottle crusher and litter bin products and discussing how we can save customers on their waste disposal costs.

Our Bin Compactors save costs by reducing the number of waste bins required to manage general and recycling waste streams and we presenting the PEL240BC bin compactor at the show. The PEL240BC compacts up to three 240 litre bins into one 240 litre bin; reduces the number of bins required for managing wastes, creates space and generates disposal cost savings. Both solar and electric hydraulic variants of the PEL240BC are available along with models for 360 litre, 660 litre and 1100 litre sized bins.

The PEL700 compact baler will also be a Catex 2019. The PEL700 cardboard and plastic baler produces a bale of 70-80Kg and its economical and space saving 800mm x 690mm footprint makes it an ideal baler choice for a business where space is at a premium.

PEL Waste Reduction Equipment will be featuring our BB01 and BB04 glass bottle crushers at the Catex 2019.  The BB01 or ‘Baby Jaws’ machine is the only under counter bottle crusher of its kind on the market.  It allows waste glass bottles to be crushed as they are poured or as the empties are returned from the floor & keeps staff serving customers rather than managing the waste glass bottles. The BB04 ‘Mega Jaws’ bottle crusher can crush up to 4000 bottles per hour and is the ideal solution for businesses producing large quantities of waste glass bottles in the course of their daily operations.

The ElectroPak from PEL Waste Reduction Equipment is a stand-alone litter bin which holds up to 10 times more waste than a conventional bin making it ideal restaurants, cafés, food courts, airports and other busy locations with a requirement for a large capacity litter bin. Additionally, the ElectroPak issues an email or SMS alert when it needs to be serviced so no more overflowing bins and untidy areas.

An integrated ultrasonic bin-fill sensor linked to a cloud-based data management dashboard communicates bin-fill (litter) levels to the bin manager via the SigFox or GSM networks. This reporting capability allows the manager to identify exact bin-fill levels within the ElectroPak and to service the bin only when needed. This intelligence ultimately reduces overall litter collection costs whilst simultaneously improving the service.
