PEL Waste Reduction Equipment has installed a BB022 large capacity industrial glass bottle crusher in the Rye River Brewing Company. The BB022 will allow Rye River to efficiently manage waste glass bottles generated across their site and save on the overall handling and disposal costs of this waste.

In light of the current COVID-19 situation, we want to reassure you that all at PEL Waste Reduction Equipment are working hard to provide our customers with the products and services required and it is ‘business-as-usual’ in so much as is possible for us here in Ireland.
During the enforced lock-down, we have accelerated the product development projects in our innovation lab, been working with our supply chain and upskilling our support functions so that PEL Waste Reduction Equipment will be best positioned to support our customer’s efforts to re-start business once economic activity re-commences. The winners of the Irish Times Innovation Awards were announced at a gala dinner held in the Concert Hall RDS on Tuesday 5th November and PEL Waste Reduction Equipment was recognised as the winner in the Manufacturing and Design category of The Irish Times for 2019. (more…)
Fingal County Council Awards Solar Compacting Litter Bin Tender to SolarStreetBin™
PEL Waste Reduction Equipment have commenced installing the SolarStreetBinTM in Fingal County Council. The installation programme follows the award of a tender for the supply of solar powered compacting litter bins and associated information technology run by the Council earlier in 2019.
PEL Waste Reduction Equipment has installed the first consignment of the SolarStreetBinTM and associated BriteBinTM information technology in Howth, Co. Dublin. The installation programme follows on from Fingal County Council’s award of a contract for the supply of solar powered compacting litter bins and associated information technology made by the council earlier in the year. The SolarStreetBin™ from PEL Waste Reduction Equipment has been selected as one of the 15 finalists in the Irish Times Innovation Awards for 2019. The finalists were chosen from more than 100 applications and the winners of the five categories will be announced at a ceremony at the RDS in Dublin on Tuesday, November 5th 2019.

Galway City Council has installed fifty (50) solar powered IoT SolarStreetBin™ litter bins from PEL Waste Reduction Equipment as a follow-up to a successful six-month trial of IoT litter bin technology in 2018.
Galway City Council have completed the installation of fifty SolarStreetBin™ litter bins in a bid to fight the mounting volumes of litter across the city. The bins, commissioned after a successful extended trial in 2018, hold up to ten times the quantity of litter compared to a standard bin. The SolarStreetBin™ litter bins are equipped with a sensor and communications technology which notifies the Council when the bin is full. This high-technology solution will (more…)
About Tayto Park/Problem:
Tayto Park, in Co Meath, is Ireland’s largest theme park and zoo. It is home to 100’s of attractions including The Cú Chulainn, Europe’s biggest wooden roller coaster, a 5D Cinema, and most recently they have partnered up with Nissan to bring Ireland’s first ever driving school for kids to the park. Located 30 minutes from Dublin City Centre, Tayto Park has become one of Ireland’s most popular paid attractions with as many as 720,000 visitors coming to the park each year. The London Borough of Islington has installed the PEL UK Rentals Ltd PEL1100SBC solar powered bin compactor in the Chapel Lane market to minimise the impact of the incoming Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) being introduced by Transport for London on 8th April 2019.

Catex 2019 is Ireland’s largest food service and hospitality show and takes place on Tuesday 26th – Thursday 28th February 2019 at the RDS in Dublin this year. More than 12,000 visitors are expected to attend over the two days of the show where over 250 exhibitors will be showcasing their products to the hospitality industry.
PEL Waste Reduction Equipment will be on stand C36 in the main hall of the RDS where we will be demonstrating a selection of our bin compactor, baler, bottle crusher and litter bin products and discussing how we can save customers on their waste disposal costs.
Our Bin Compactors save costs by reducing the number of waste bins required to manage general and recycling waste streams and we presenting the PEL240BC bin compactor at the show. The PEL240BC compacts up to three 240 litre bins into one 240 litre bin; reduces the number of bins required for managing wastes, creates space and generates disposal cost savings. Both solar and electric hydraulic variants of the PEL240BC are available along with models for 360 litre, 660 litre and 1100 litre sized bins. (more…)
