Waste Type Profile: Glass

Glass waste is a common issue across the globe. Because glass is 100% recyclable without loss of purity or quality, it can be reused and recycled over and over again. Recycling this material can be of great benefit to many businesses. Crushing glass is a cost effective solution because recycling waste glass is a more sustainable alternative in comparison to manufacturing new glass as this will lower your carbon footprint.

PEL Waste Reduction Equipment at Catex 2019

PEL Waste Reduction Equipment at Catex 2019Catex 2019 is Ireland’s largest food service and hospitality show and takes place on Tuesday 26th – Thursday 28th February 2019 at the RDS in Dublin this year. More than 12,000 visitors are expected to attend over the two days of the show where over 250 exhibitors will be showcasing their products to the hospitality industry.

PEL Waste Reduction Equipment will be on stand C36 in the main hall of the RDS where we will be demonstrating a selection of our bin compactor, baler, bottle crusher and litter bin products and discussing how we can save customers on their waste disposal costs.

Our Bin Compactors save costs by reducing the number of waste bins required to manage general and recycling waste streams and we presenting the PEL240BC bin compactor at the show. The PEL240BC compacts up to three 240 litre bins into one 240 litre bin; reduces the number of bins required for managing wastes, creates space and generates disposal cost savings. Both solar and electric hydraulic variants of the PEL240BC are available along with models for 360 litre, 660 litre and 1100 litre sized bins. (more…)

BB01 ‘Baby Jaws’ Glass Bottle Crusher

The PEL Waste Reduction Equipment waste glass bottle crusher range spans the BB01 under-the-counter machine, to the BB06 ‘Mega Jaws’ product which can crush up to 4000 bottles per hour through to the large capacity stand-alone BB09 glass bottle crusher.

The 600mm (w) x 600mm (d) x 840mm (h) dimensions of the BB01 ‘Baby Jaws’ machine allows it to fit under a standard height bar counter and is the only under counter bottle crusher of its kind on the market. The BB01 ‘Baby Jaws’ removes the need for bottle bins behind the bar as waste glass bottles can be crushed in the machine as they are poured or as the empty bottles are returned from the floor. It keeps staff serving customers rather than managing the waste glass bottles allowing staff to focus on customer service rather than managing the waste glass behind the bar.

Call Tommy on 094 936 6923 at PEL Waste Reduction Equipment today to find out more about the BB01 Glass Bottle crusher and how it can improve on your customer service whilst reducing your overall waste glass disposal costs.
